Wællenbad - Java Moment (With Pure Data and Model:Cycles)

video upload by dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"This is another approach to imitating the sounds of Indonesian Gamelan music with Pure Data and the Elektron Model:Cycles. Actually I have already been about to sell the The Elektron Model:Cycles because I felt that its sounds tend to have a too small sonic range until I realized that it is not at all a drum machine as the manufacturer claims but a 6 voice polyphonic synth. Since then we are getting along quite well ;-)"

Klangstrøm - Miniature #2 (Model:Cycles & Patchblocks)

video upload by dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"This patch is running on one standard patchblock and one midi block and sending midi data to the Elektron Model:Cycles. The triggers may seem random but they add up to a longer sequence based on prime numbers.
Sorry for those slightly too heavy visual effects. I was exploring a new video app and got carried away in the process. You know these things happen too easily... 🤨
Enjoy this Ambient Miniature!

Klangstrøm - Miniature#1 (Pure Data & Korg Volca Drum)

video upload by dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"Starting a series of miniatures with Pure Data and mostly one other piece of gear. Historical pieces of electronic music may be an inspiration but not necessarily. You guys can have a guess if there has been an inspiring paragon for each miniature. Starting off with the Volga Drum which is one of my favorite pieces of gear due to its immensely broad range of sonic capabilities. Love it. Hope you will, too!
Enjoy!

Klangstrøm - Grøvebøx (Pure Data sequencing iElectribe R & Monologue)

video upload by dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"This is a more or less regular drum sequencer with some random element on a per-step basis. It turned out quite ok, I think. Have fun!"

"My first attempt to create a self-generating patch in Pure Data with a lot of Sound FX an some musical content in the style of György Ligeti's "Artikulation" (1958).
With this piece I would like to pay tribute to his pioneering electronic work."

Waellenbad - Clicks & Chords Part 2: Chroma

video upload by dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"Here's Part 2, the second étude on my two new instruments Yamaha Portasound PSS 680 and PSS 380. As you might have guessed it is based on a chromatic scale as opposed to the pentatonic scale of Part 1.
Enjoy!"

Cross-rhythmic potential with patchblocks

video upload by dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"Hi everyone,

unfortunately, I did not have much spare time in the last year, so all of my ElectriXity projects had to wait in a line. Eventually, I have been able to finish this one, which is the first of a series of rhythmically orientated soundscapes made with patchblocks. Most of them derived from a patch which is based on prime numbers to avoid too much regularity in the rhythmic patterns. This is an edit made of two live jam takes, so please don't expect video and audio to be in sync at any given second ;-)
Wish you all the best for 2021 and stay healthy!!
Enjoy"

Cross-rhythmic potential part 2 (with Korg Volca Beats and Patchblocks)

"I hereby declare against all common opinions that I love my Korg Volca Beats. I am not ashamed to admit it and so I want to express my gratitude and pay tribute to the many happy hours I have spent playing around and listening to my beloved drum machine. And yes, I also and especially adore the sound of its snare. Change my mind!"

Dreadbox Erebus 3 Patch #01 (No talk, just music)

Published on Apr 28, 2019 dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"Here comes the Erebus 3 with a patch which hopefully showcases the versatility of this machine. S&H as much as the triple ring let the sound evolve constantly. During the middle part the Erebus 1 comes into play to increase the lead character of the patch.

The drums come frome the volca sample which is sequenced by the Arturia Beatstep Pro.

Have fun!"

Plankton Electronics Ants Patch #03 Arps & Waves

Published on Feb 15, 2019 dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"All unnatural sounds come from the Plankton Electronics Ants. It is a constantly interrupted arpeggio patch with some white noise which comes and goes in waves, matching the sounds of the ocean.
In order to minimize time, I kept it simple this time. Just a patch and some footage from my favourite recreational place. Sorry if it`s all too cliché for you. I kinda like it.
Enjoy"

Korg Volca Beats and Sample get mangled by patchblocks.

Published on Aug 27, 2018 dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"This Triple Sequencer Patch is based on two streams of random notes, one of which can be recorded as a fixed pattern, the other one can be blended in as an "alternative" such as in fills or for subtle changes to make a beat more interesting.
Additional features are a recordable set of cc values for 16 steps and an adjustable pattern length from 11 to 16 steps."

NYX & EREBUS w/ patchblocks - An Ambient Dreadbox Journey

Published on Jul 29, 2018 dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"One more Dreadbox duet! It turned out pretty long, so I added footage from the making of my DIY Dreadbox wood enclosure starting at 2:35.
Besides I was testing three different cameras in a low light situation. Admittedly not exactly the most interesting thing to watch, so just listen. Hope you like it anyway.
With all that footage I didn't manage to synchronise audio and video. Sorry if you were expecting that.
Enjoy!"

Hope you like it."

Pandora's Dreadbox - Nyx and Erebus

Published on Feb 17, 2017 dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"As Pandora opens her box more and more evil forces escape from inside. When she succeeds to close it again, hope is the last thing that remains inside the box. With the Erebus and the Nyx, two Greek Gods of the darkness in front of me, I decided to elaborate musically on this myth.
I 'm aware, there's a lot of unnecessary cuts and video effects,
I merely had to dive into my new video edit software and check it out thoroughly!! I'll be more moderate next time ;-)
The synths are sequenced by a specifically designed patch, I call „Pandora’s Array“ (black PB). You can download it on patchblocks.com.
It not only fires random notes, but also randomizes the time difference between two triggers (within a certain time frame).

Left knob increases note density.
Right knob selects the timbre (free, ionian, hexatonic, pentatonic, minor chord)

Left LED indicates trigger out
Right button selects octave range (1-4)

Dreadbox Nyx & Erebus sequenced by patchblocks

Published on Feb 6, 2017 dænkrø_ ElectriXity_

"First session with my favorite two DREADBOX' NYX and EREBUS.
The NYX provides some creamy 70s vintage style Leads. The Erebus is triggered by a patchblocks sequencer/arp patch which I redesigned to work with the KB-1 block.
Together they walk along the snowy road to Berlin School style. I had my fun that's for sure.
Hope you'll like it, too!!!

Share and enjoy!!"
